Unique online charity auction to help society

One of the largest handmade rug makers in India and one of the oldest hand-woven rug companies in the world, OBEETEE has initiated online charity auction -- Bid for Change, with an aim to give back to the society.
The money earned from the bid for rugs on the portal would be donated to a charity organisation of the customer’s choice.
They can choose from - The Project Mala ‎Schools, Pratham Innovative educational organisation, Ramakrishna Mission worldwide non-political organisation and Gopepur Village. Project Mala ‎Schools, with support and land donated by OBEETEE, provided education, healthcare, and vocational training to over 7500 ‎children from villages in the country.
The organization has installed 30 solar streetlights in Gopepur village, along a one-kilometer stretch on the Raipur link road. This has benefitted a substantial number of villagers who live along this road.
“We take our social and environmental responsibilities very seriously and this one-of-its-kind online auction bears testimony to the company’s commitment to give back to the society,” said Angelique O’Brien, President Sales & Marketing, OBEETEE.
“We not only want to engage with our customers through this special initiative but also aim to help the underprivileged section of the society who strives for basic amenities such as health, education, sanitation, etc.”
The auction features a wide range of the finest carpets and rugs crafted out of the finest fabric. To participate in the auction, one can register on www.obeetee.org.
